Obituary for Barbara Trimm Wright (Trimm)
Mrs. Barbara Trimm Wright, age 94, of South Hill died on Friday March 11, 2022. She was born Barbara Rose Trimm on 11-19-1927 to Robert Franklin Trimm and Luvella Murphy Trimm in the home of which she still resided. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, James Robert Trimm, William Edward Trimm, Roy Murphy Trimm, Marguerite Anne Trimm, Gladys Trimm Mullins and Elizabeth Drew Trimm and also Barbara’s husband Claude Wilson Wright Sr. whom she married in 1985.
Barbara graduated from South Hill High School and from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia . She studied at Stuart Circle Hospital School of Medical Technology and was a Registered Medical Technologist. For 40 years she worked in the medical field retiring in 1989 as office manager of Southside Surgical Associates, Inc. Barbara was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church where she served as a SS teacher, pianist/organist for many years, Clerk of the church beginning in 1994 and elected as a trustee in January 2001. She was also a member and Past Matron of Loyalty Chapter #48, Order of the Eastern Star.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00pm on, Wednesday March 16, 2022 at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends are welcome on Tuesday 8:30 to 4:00 and on Wednesday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home.
