Obituary for Christine Harris Evans
Mrs. Christine Harris Evans, age 83 of Boydton, died Friday, March 18,2022. She is survived by her children, Dennis Wayne Evans of Boydton, David Neal Evans (Linda) of Concord, NC and Bunny E. Shepherd (Doug) of Boydton; her grandchildren, Melissa Evans VanDyke (Robert), April Evans Davala (Chris), Tonya Gentry (Dustin), Brandon Evans (Lindsay), Byron Evans (Tasha) and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Wilburt, Truman, Josephine, Marie and Pauline. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband James Garland Evans and son, Tommy Evans.
Mrs. Evans retired as a seamstress with VA Quilting and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Following her retirement, her life centered around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as she treasured the time she spent with each of them.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm, Tuesday March 22, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home in South Hill with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
