Obituary for Frances Alexander "Frankie" Hall

Frances “Frankie” Alexander Hall of South Hill, VA, passed away at the age of 91 on October 16, 2021. She was born in Mecklenburg, NC, to the late Oscar C. and Nellie A. Alexander on June 23, 1930. As a young girl she came to live in Alexandra, VA with her family where she grew up, attended school, married and gave birth to three children. Frankie spent most of her career as a federal civil servant working for the Air Force as a Program Analyst and making many lifelong friends. Following retirement in 1986, she was recruited to work on the staff of the Women in Military Service For America Memorial and later as a contractor for Ft. Belvoir Army housing. After living and working in Alexandria for most of her life, a change of scenery and slower pace beckoned her to southern Virginia where she remained until her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Edward “Eddie” Hall; son, Francis Edward “Chip” Hall, Jr., and sister, Betty J. Giddens. Beside her son, David A Boaz (Diane) of Kenbridge, VA and daughter, Tracy E. Studds of Woodbridge, VA, she is survived by five grandchildren: Amanda J. Reid (Daryl) of Glen Burnie, MD; John Patrick Studds of Alexandria, VA; Molly Anne Medina (Edwin) of Dumfries, VA; Jason Edward Hall (Janelle) of Manassas, VA; Erin Frances Walker (Andy) of Chester VA; five great grandchildren; niece, Holly Marie Heislup of Alexandria, VA; and beloved dog Trixie.



A graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2pm on Monday, November 1, 2020 at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, VA. The family will receive friends at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home from noon until 1:30. Online condolences may be shared at www.farrarfuneralhome.net.
