Mr. Herbert Junior Spraggins age 78 of Baskerville, VA died Saturday, February 23, 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda S. Williams (Billy) of Bracey; two grandchildren, Melissa Reamey (Tammy) and Melinda Mowry (Dan), and two great grandsons, Donovan and Asher Mowry. Also surviving are three siblings, Clyde Spraggins (Sadie) and Roger Spraggins (Willie) both of Baskerville and Stella S. Newsome (Wade) of Chase City. Mr. Spraggins was preceded in death by his wife, Anna G. Spraggins; his sister, Shirley S Benfield and brother, Ed Spraggins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caregiver, Rena Alexander for helping him over the last few months.

Mr. Spraggins was a retired farmer and was known throughout the area for his homemade country sausage.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am on Monday, Feb. 25 at Bethany Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
