Obituary for Mary C. "Tinker" West (Criswell)
Mrs. Mary C. “Tinker” West, age 71 of Bracey, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly West Smiley (Jamie) of Bracey; her son, William “Billy” West (Kristy) of Raleigh, and her brother, Richard King Criswell of FL. Also surviving are her two beloved nieces that were like daughters to her, Sonya Ornduff and Tammy Dunivan along with her two feline companions, Sweetie and Sophie.
Mary was a sales associate with Prime Media Productions for 23 years before her retirement. Those businesses that she served in our community often remember her as a soft spoken lady with a brilliant smile and a determination to provide the very best for her clients, which many times became her friends. Outside of the workplace, her life revolved around her family, friends, and "fur-babies." Mary also attended Lake Gaston Christian Life Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, at 2:00 P.M. November 20, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Chapel with a reception to follow at 313 Franklin. The family requests memorial considerations in her memory be directed to Lake Gaston Christian Life Center, Lake Country SPCA or Mecklenburg County Cancer Association.
