Obituary for Terry Lloyd Leyen
Mr. Terry L. Leyen, age 74of Bracey and formerly of Henderson, NC, died Friday, December 31, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Linda Sweitzer Leyen of the home; his children, Tina Michelle McDowell (Michael) of Denton, NC and Robin Barnette Crabel of South Hill; grandchildren, Brandon Michael McDowell (Sarah), Bradley Matthew McDowell, Adam William Crabel and Chase Sidney Crabel and great grandchild, Hudson Grant McDowell. Also surviving are his siblings, Randy Leyen of MO, Thomas Leyen of SC, and Charleen Warmbier of NC. Mr. Leyen was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracie Renee Leyen.
Terry spent his career serving others whether it was in the US Air Force, or the many years he worked with the City of Henderson, NC. He loved spending time with family and friends and always enjoyed a round of golf.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1pm, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Lakeview Cemetery in Victoria, VA. Immediately following the service, the family invites you to join them at the VFW, Marshall Ave., Victoria, VA for a quaint Celebration of Life.
