Mrs. Shirley Spraggins Benfield, age 75 of Spottsylvania, died Friday, Sept 6, 2013. She is survived by her sons, Wade (Beverly) of Spottsylvania, and Jerry (Sharon) of Sandy Level, VA; one daughter Nancy Lee of Siler City, NC. Also surviving are four brothers, Roger Spraggins, Herbert Spraggins and Clyde Spraggins all of Baskerville, and Ed Spraggins of Hanover; one sister, Stella Newsom of Chase City; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Wednesday, September 11 at Bethany Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30 – 8:00.
