Mr. Thomas C. “Tiney' Evans, age 74 of Kenbridge, died Saturday, June 21, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Roberta H Evans of the home; a son, Thomas A Evans of Arlington; four daughters, Sherry E Bobbitt (David) of Warrenton, VA, Susan E Martin (Peter) of Dundas, Cindy E Hite (Ronnie) of Kenbridge, and Vangela E Gunn (Chad) of Blackstone. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Jessica Currin, Monica McGraw, Sarah Ramsey, Joel V. & Toni K. Evans, Victoria Witty, Kelsey Bobbitt, Hayden & Samantha Gunn; 3 great grandchildren, Scott Currin, Tristan McGraw, & Leo Witty; three sisters, Connie Houston of Farmville, Marie Johnstin of South Hill, Irma Davenport of DeWitt and brother, Billy Evans of South Hill. Mr Evans was preceded in death by his parents, William A & Lillie B Evans, a brother, William Irving Evans, and sister, Elizabeth Turner.

“Tiney” was a member of the Church of Christ in Blackstone and was a carpenter/craftsman for many years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted by Minister Walter Davis at 10am, Thursday, June 26th at Farrar Funeral Chapel in South Hill, with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Park.
