Alfred William Muir, 83 of Boydton passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Muir was retired from IBM and was a member and Elder of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church, Lillington, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Muir; one daughter, Jean McCall and her husband Bill of Boydton; two sons, Steven Muir and his wife Claudia of Coatsville, PA and Alfred Muir, Jr. and his wife Wendi of Hyde Park, NY. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in the First Presbyterian Church, 22 Young Street, Henderson, NC on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2 PM.

Memorial considerations may be made to Hospice of Community Memorial Healthcenter or the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc.
