Mr. John H Magnuson, age 84 of South Hill died Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Magnuson of the home, a daughter, Sharon M. Friend (David) of Remington, VA; a brother, Charles Magnuson, (Jean) and a sister Marchetia Dunn (Roland) both of Damascus, VA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Amber Friend and Shannon Friend.

Mr. Magnuson was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of VFW 7166, and American Legion Post 79.

Funeral services will be conducted 11am, Friday, October 24 by Pastor Bob Gordon at Farrar Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
