Mrs. Iris Manning Overton, age 91 of Chase City, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. Manning and Carrie B Manning; a brother George W. Manning and sister Rosa Lee Manning Ashworth. Mrs. Overton is survived by her daughters, June O. Dougherty of Chase City and Carolyn O. Thompson of Vinton and a brother, John F. Manning (Mrytle) of South Hill; three grandchildren, Cathy, Crystal & Jonathan and four great-grandchildren, Larry, Drew, Kole & Jessika.

Mrs. Overton was retired from Alberta Dress Factory and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Friday at Farrar Funeral Home with interment to follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
