Mrs. Mary Cook Nichols, age 84 of South Hill, died Saturday, April 11, 2015. She is survived by her son, William Curtis Nichols, Jr. of South Hill, three granddaughters, Shannon N Singleton, Stacy N Newton and Ashleigh Elizabeth Nichols. Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Trevor, Dale, Daniel, & Jonathan; and three sisters, Margaret C. Ferguson, Carolyn C Bateman and Phyllis C Hawk . Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, William Curtis Nichols, three brothers, John Sola Cook, Jr, Howard Cook and James Owen Cook, and two sisters, Edna C Hatchell and Virginia C. Price.

Mrs. Nichols was a former employee of Revco, A & P, Herbert L. Farrar Funeral Home and Walmart providing many years of customer service. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of South Hill.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday, April, 14, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
