Obituary for Captain Gloria M Baisey, NC,USN, (Ret)

Captain Gloria Moody Baisey, NC, USN (Ret), age 69 of Chesterfield, died June 4, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Paul L. Baisey ; two daughters Paige Baisey Lasky of Chester and Paula Baisey-Snow (Chris) of N. Chesterfield and three grandchildren, Ashton Gray Lasky, Wesley Christpher Snow and Zoey Katherine Snow. Also surviving is her mother Mary Moody and two brothers, Mike Moody (Susan) of South Hill and George B. Moody (Gwen) of Charlottesville, VA. Preceded in death is her father George W Moody.

Captain Baisey served in the Naval Reserves for 24 years. She started her career 47 years ago in the healthcare profession serving both civilians and military and concluded that career as a nurse practitioner at Hunter McGuire VA Hospital. She was also a member of the VA Council of Nurse Practitioners and Chester Baptist Church. Captain Baisey loved her family, friends and serving her country.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7pm, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Chapel in South Hill. The family will receive friends 6 - 8pm, Wednesday, June 8 at J.T. Morris Chapel in Chester, VA.
