Condolences

Condolence From: Paula Basnett
Condolence: My Uncle Jerry was a quiet man, but always ready for a smile or chuckle. I remember spending summer days on the lake while he attempted to teach me to whaterski. I ended up with my face planted in the water more than my feet. To me, he always appeared like a solid, constant, gentle person.

He was also always quick to share his faith. His hunger to know the deep things drove him to study the Word. He knew more about Jesus than anyone I've ever known. He knew more about Jesus and how Jesus treated people. He sent tapes of his radio show for us to listen to. He taught me so much about Jesus, the Word and the Lord.

What a legacy he leaves. Hours of radio broadcasts, church plants, lives he touched. I wish I had had the opportunity to tell him that it's because of him that I search the scriptures, and want to know the real meanings of all of those Hebrew and Greek words. He is responsible for my relationship with the Lord, not my knowledge or religion; but relationship.

He is one of the very few who I truly respect.

Condolence From: Tom Fuller
Condolence: This world has lost a true treasure! I enjoyed seeing his garden and stopping by on occasion and visit him and his brother "Jim-Boy" I learned what real men and what real gentlemen act like in all kinds of situations from them both. The Lord above will have enjoy his smile now. I will remember "Jug" every time I go around lake gaston and ride my boat by the houses him and JimBoy had next to each other. My sincere prayers the good lord will hold his wife and children close through this loss. God Bless the whole family! Tom and Billie Fuller

Condolence From: Norma Wirt
Condolence: Our hearts go out to the family in the loss of a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, teacher and most of all, a Man of God. Although it has been many years since I had seen him, I remember his kindness and hospitality when we visited his daughter Rayna and her family up at the lake. Rayna and I were very dear friends, and our daughters were almost inseparable. We love you and share your sorrow. Norma, Melissa and Maria Wirt

Condolence From: Lynn Wilt
Condolence: Jug, you were one of my boyhood heroes, winning that Pony League title and the Barrackville State Championship team of 1958. Many the day you shot baskets out back of the school and I would fetch the ball and feed it back to you. You were also good friends with my cousin Jackie Holbert who died in that terrible tractor accident years ago. It just seems extra tragic to me when my heros are gone....you, Bill Koach, possibly Eddie Helminski. May you rest in peace. Lynn Wilt, Barrackville Class of 1960.
