Walter was a very special person. He was the first boss I had after I finished business school and moved back to South Hill. At that time he was working for F.E. Watkins Motor Co. A lot of special memories. He was a great boss.

Condolence: Walter was a good man and he will be truly missed by all who knew him. Heaven definitely gained an angel and he and Joan and their son are now reunited. God be with each and every member of his family in the months ahead without him.

Condolence: We came to South Hill (thank God) One of the first stops we made when we arrived ,was the old Signet Bank to open an account ! There he was Walter Cleaton with a beaming smile and a welcoming handshake extended. From that day to today we all 3 became good friends ! Always a kind word always a smile always asking how are you doing.Yes Between Walter ,Micky , and Sue knew how to treat people!Walter is surely in Heaven today with a smile and his greeting hand extended to the new arrivals .
